Mr. Rick Anaya, Founder of CETUSA, is offering a program scholarship to Germany for the 2003-2004 academic year. One scholarship, which covers program costs relating to school enrollment, careful screening and selection of a host family providing room and board accommodation, local coordinator supervision, periodic reports, program sponsorship and supervision, accident and health insurance will be awarded. The scholarship does not have provision for airfare, cost of obtaining a passport, personal expenses, or other expenses not explicitly stated.

 

Interested applicants should submit a CETUSA Outbound Application along with a 500 word essay on any topic relating to one of the following topics: international relations, student exchange in general, or why the applicant wishes to become an exchange student in Germany. Separately, students should also indicate prior travel experience and prior Germany language study experience. Applicants should also expect to have a telephone interview.

 

The scholarship recipient will be chosen based upon the overall attractiveness of the entire application, essay and interview as judged by a 5 person panel consisting of the founder and his designees.
