How much time does it take? Top
 
The amount of time that you will spend being a CETUSA Community Coordinator depends on you. You may invest as much time as you wish. Coordinators may place as few as two students a year. Coordinators are required to contact all participants (host family and student) at least monthly, and to maintain ongoing contact with school officials.
 
 
As a CETUSA Coordinator what are my responsibilities? Top
 

As a CETUSA Coordinator your responsibilities will include:

  • Seeking and Qualifying host families for CETUSA students
  • Seeking the approval of the high school in the host families area
  • Providing orientations to host families and students
  • Providing supervision to host families and students while on the program
  • Complete monthly evaluations of participants and their experiences
  • Assisting host families and students in handling any challenges they may face
  • Preparing host families and students for separation/departure as they near the end of the program

As a CETUSA Coordinator your rewards/opportunities include:

  • You will be paid a stipend, in monthly increments, beginning shortly after your student arrives. Your reward can be minimal or more, depending on how many students you choose to work with. In addition to the stipend, you are able to earn bonus dollars
  • If you enjoy international travel, join other CETUSA Coordinators in the bonus trip this fall! Your Team Leader/ Manager will show you how to qualify!
 
 
What training opportunities are available to me? Top
 

Training opportunities that are available to CETUSA Coordinators include:

  • Working with a support team of fellow Coordinators
  • The knowledge and support of the Team Leader/Area Manager
  • CETUSA offers a basic and excelled training program (depending on interest and skill level)

Our training is designed to assure you the time invested will give you the most valuable return.

 
 
How many students can/must I place? Top
 
CETUSA Coordinators need to place a minimum of two students per contract year. Many Coordinators place more with the encouragement/approval of their Team Leader/Area Manager.
 
 
What other opportunities are available to me through CETUSA? Top
 

Other opportunities that CETUSA Coordinators may take part in include:

  • Host an international student
  • Coordination in other divisions such as; Community College, Short Term Groups, Private High School, Outbound and even Internship Programs.
