CETUSA Training & Internship Joins US-Mexico Intern Program

CETUSA Training & Internship Program Director Kevin Watson traveled to Mexico City in May as part of a 22 person delegation led by Assistant Secretary of State for Educational and Cultural Affairs Robin Lerner.  The delegation was there to meet with representatives from several branches of the Mexican government as well as representatives from 150 universities across Mexico to discuss the US-Mexico Intern Program.

The new program seeks to expand academic exchange and internship opportunities for U.S. and Mexican college students and recent graduates. Increasing educational exchange opportunities between the United States and Mexico is essential to develop the regional workforce we need to position North America as the most competitive and dynamic region in the world.  This new program is consistent with the overall 100,000 Strong in the Americas initiative announced last May.

The delegation also traveled to the World Heritage Site of Puebla, one of the oldest colonial cities on the continent founded in 1531, where this photo was taken.
