Internship & Trainee Programs for US Host Companies

About the Program

Eligibility

U.S. businesses interested in hosting international trainees or interns must provide the following information:

  • Dun and Bradstreet Number
  • Employer Identification Number (EIN)
  • Proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance Policy
  • U.S. host companies which have not previously hosted CETUSA Trainee or Internship Program, which have fewer than 25 employees or have less than 3 million dollars in annual revenue, must undergo a site visit prior to program sponsorship approval

In addition, the host company must be able to:

  • Provide the trainee/intern with a structured trainee/internship program that reflects the participant’s qualifications and academic background, but does not repeat the participant’s previously gained work experience
  • Provide a minimum of 32 hours of training per week
  • Provide ongoing supervision and performance evaluation
