About the Program
Eligibility
U.S. businesses interested in hosting international trainees or interns must provide the following information:
- Dun and Bradstreet Number
- Employer Identification Number (EIN)
- Proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance Policy
- U.S. host companies which have not previously hosted CETUSA Trainee or Internship Program participants and/or which have fewer than 25 employees or have less than 3 million dollars in annual revenue, must undergo a site visit prior to program sponsorship approval
In addition, the host company must be able to:
- Provide the trainee/intern with a structured trainee/internship program that reflects the participant’s qualifications and academic background but does not repeat the participant’s previously gained work experience
- Provide a minimum of 32 hours of training per week
- Provide ongoing supervision and performance evaluation
