The CI (continuous improvement) trainee will have the opportunity to work as part of a team that maximizes efficiency and streamlines supply chains for key partners.

Position Description:

  • Support Excellence Managers establishing Continuous Improvement Programs with customers
  • Arrange and support CI workshops from internal preparations to CI sessions
  • CIP aimed at delivering tangible cost savings to customer via automation/digitalization, mode shift/conversion, process optimization, cargo consolidation, etc.    
  • Working on CI program/project performance metrics and data quality     
  • “Support Excellence Managers in Project Manage CIP’s, using DMAIC principles, leading workshops (“kaizen events”) with customer and KN BU/OKAM/KAM.
  • Support the tracking and reporting on CIP progress, per customer
  • In addition to above, the position would also provide various customer support based on the output of the Continuous Improvement project. Examples: Business Review Management, Tender support, Sharing of best practices.        

Applicant Qualifications:

  • To apply for the Trainee program, you must hold a bachelor’s degree in business management (logistics degrees preferred) and at least 1 year of work experience OR be a career professional of 5 or more years in related field.
  • Prior logistics work is preferred
  • Fluent English is required (reading, writing and speaking skills)
  • Supply Chain / Logistics Background
  • Experience working with continuous improvement projects
  • Good understanding of Supply Chain Management disciplines (planning, sourcing, purchasing, transportation, warehousing & distribution)
  • Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
  • Project management skill set
