Host Company Description:

This host is a language school located in Boise, ID that teaches a variety of languages from around the world. They facilitate private and group language sessions that give students the opportunity to gain exposure, grammatical understanding, syntax, and other aspects of language that are vital to comprehension and conversation. They are seeking a native Spanish speaker who is eager to gain knowledge and skills in teaching a second language and operating a language school.

Program Description:

• Learn the fundamental operations of a private language school business (i.e., Marketing, course offerings, pricing, staffing, customer service)
• Learn best practices and techniques in teaching a foreign language
• Gain classroom management and curriculum development skills
• Understand student psychology and best approaches in language learning and teaching
• Train alongside executive leadership and peer instructors to gain hands-on experience in language school operations
• Gain an understanding of the institutional accreditation process

Applicant Qualifications:

• To apply for the Internship program, applicants must be full-time university students with academic focus in English/language arts/education studies OR have graduated less than 12 months from the internship begin date.
• To apply for the Trainee program, applicants must hold English/language arts/education degrees and have least 1 year of professional work experience related to the degree, OR be career professionals of 5 or more years of professional experience in this field
• Excellent English skills–Strong written and oral interpersonal and communication skills.
• Fluency in English and Spanish
• Passion for language teaching and learning
• Interest in teaching 2^nd language learners
• Strong computer skills
• Ability to multitask
