The host company is a Silicon Valley-based aerospace and robotics company that designs and manufactures autonomous, electric aircraft. The company is focused on making aviation safer, cleaner, and more efficient using automation and zero-emission technology.
Position Description:
- Assist with schematic capture and PCB layout for embedded and power electronics systems
- Support component selection and BOM creation under engineer supervision
- Help assemble, bring up, and test PCBs in the lab
- Run bench tests, collect data, and help analyze results
- Support debugging of electrical and embedded systems issues
- Assist with documentation including test procedures, results, and design notes
Applicant Qualifications:
- To apply for the Internship program, applicants must be electrical engineering undergraduate/graduate students OR a be recent graduates who begin program within 12 months of the graduation date
- To apply for the Trainee program, applicants must have either a degree or professional certificate from a foreign post-secondary academic institution and at least 1 year of prior related work experience in the electrical engineering field acquired outside the United States OR 5+ years of experience in this field.
- Advanced English is required
- Coursework/experience in: embedded systems, power electronics, motor control, control systems, basic lab equipment (oscilloscope, power supply, multimeter), C or C++, schematic capture/PCB layout tools (Altium, KiCad, Eagle, etc.), motor control concepts (FOC, PWM, inverters)
