Host Company Description:

This is a Boston-based upholstery and furniture restoration service specializing in custom craftsmanship and tailored interior solutions. It works with homeowners, interior designers, architects, restaurants, hospitality groups, and commercial clients to bring custom furniture concepts to life. The company reupholsters and repairs sofas, chairs, banquettes, headboards, and other furnishings, emphasizing quality materials and precise workmanship. It also manages larger commercial projects with a focus on durability, functionality, and design consistency.

Position Description:

This hands-on internship provides practical experience in furniture design, product development, and interior furnishings. Interns will learn furniture specification, material sourcing, fabric selection, and the process of launching products through e-commerce channels. The program also introduces project management, from concept development to production and delivery. In addition, participants will gain exposure to entrepreneurship and the day-to-day operations of a growing design-focused business. Interns will:

  • Create, manage, and update product listings, catalogs, and website content for e-commerce platforms
  • Support fabric, material, and product sample organization and documentation
  • Assist with social media content creation, marketing campaigns, and photography of furniture projects
  • Contribute to special projects across marketing, operations, and product development

Applicant Qualifications:

  • To apply for the Internship program, applicants must be full-time university students with academic focus in architecture or design, studies OR have graduated less than 12 months from the internship begin date.
  • To apply for the Trainee program, applicants must hold architecture or design degrees and have at least 1 year of professional work experience in this field, OR be career professionals of 5 or more years in this field
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, Shopify, SketchUp, AutoCAD, or Revit
  • Photography, videography, or social media experience
  • Previous involvement in design, marketing, or entrepreneurial projects
