Local Coordinators
CETUSA Local Coordinators (“LCs”) are a nationwide network of 1099 contractors who are passionate about cultural exchange. Each CETUSA local coordinator works in his or her own community and is supported by a CETUSA Regional Director and CETUSA staff. You can work as a local coordinator in any community in the United States. Post-secondary education is not required, and training is provided by CETUSA.
Local Coordinators:
- Recruit volunteer host families
- Help prospective host families complete the online Host Family Application
- Secure acceptance for exchange students and the student’s US high school
- Supervise students and provide support to both students and host families for the duration of the student’s program
- Answer questions and support needs from exchange students, host families, and schools in their local area.
