Local Coordinators

CETUSA Local Coordinators (“LCs”) are a nationwide network of 1099 contractors who are passionate about cultural exchange. Each CETUSA local coordinator works in his or her own community and is supported by a Regional Director. Training is provided by CETUSA. Local coordinators choose their own placement goals and hours!

Local coordinators recruit volunteer host families for exchange students, and provide program support to host families, exchange students, and host schools.

Duties include:

  • Host family recruitment and vetting
  • Student placement with host family
  • School acceptance for student
  • Ongoing supervision of students and host families during program, including monthly check-ins

Requirements

  • Must pass a criminal background check
  • Access to a computer, phone, and printer
  • Use of reliable transportation
  • Ability to well individually and with a team
  • Motivation to set and reach goals
