This host company is a manufacturer of frameless/framed kitchen and bath cabinets. They are committed excellence and safety, and are seeking engineers to help their business excel. Eatonton, Georgia is about an hour away from the cultural hub of Atlanta – close enough for weekend exploration. Eatonton itself is known for its hiking trails, watersports on local lakes, Native American history, and picturesque downtown area.
Position Description:
Intern duties will be primarily observational, with guided project participation to build a foundation-level exposure to manufacturing processes
- Provide hands-on experience in advanced cabinet manufacturing processes
- Learn about American manufacturing standards and quality control systems
- Develop expertise in lean manufacturing and industrial engineering principles
- Foster cross-cultural knowledge exchange in manufacturing best practices
- Build international professional networks in the woodworking and manufacturing industry
- Participate in rotations that include the engineering department, production floor, quality assurance, and supply chain/logistics
Applicant Qualifications:
- To apply for the Internship program, you must be a final-year student or recent graduate starting the program within 12 months of graduation in the field of mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering OR wood science and technology.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with basic understanding of manufacturing processes
- Intermediate English skills or better
