The host company is an architectural firm specializing in commercial and industrial design projects, including projects for schools, banks, healthcare facilities, auto dealerships, and retail/industrial entities. They offer project planning and management, architectural design and engineering, and post-production support. The scenic Zanesville, Ohio offers a variety of historical landmarks like the “Y Bridge” and several museums; outdoor beauty at Dillon and Blue Rock State Parks, and cultural opportunities like art galleries, theaters, and restaurants.
Position Description:
- Create and revise architectural drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, or other drafting software.
- Assist in developing construction documents, floor plans, elevations, sections, and details.
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to ensure drawings meet specifications and codes.
- Maintain organized project files and drawing sets.
- Perform site measurements and assist in field verification when needed.
- Support the design team with presentation materials and renderings.
Applicant Qualifications:
- To apply for the Internship program, you must bean architecture undergraduate student OR a recent graduate starting the program within 12 months of graduation.
- To apply for the Trainee program, you must hold a degree in architecture and have at least 1 year of work experience in a related field OR be a career professional of 5 or more years of experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of college experience, and a knowledge of construction techniques
- Excellent verbal, graphic, and written communication skills, with a strong ability to multitask
