Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Director of Compliance and Quality Control to join our team and ensure the highest standards of regulatory compliance and quality management across our J1 visa organization. The successful candidate will be crucial in maintaining compliance with regulations and upholding quality standards for our secondary school, trainee, and internship programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support developing, drafting, and implementing compliance policies and procedures for all J1 visa programs, including secondary school, trainee, and internship programs.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Collaborate with program managers and coordinators to establish and maintain quality management systems to support overall regulatory compliance.
  • Assist in preparing annual safety reports and coordinate reporting of any adverse events related to the programs.
  • Review and ensure the completeness and appropriateness of host family placements for secondary school programs.
  • Analyze student, trainee, and intern evaluations to identify any program quality and compliance concerns.
  • Work closely with the compliance director and relevant stakeholders to address any identified issues and implement improvements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory developments and industry best practices to ensure proactive compliance measures.
  • Contribute to the development of quality analysis reports and provide recommendations for enhancing program quality across all J1 visa programs.

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, advanced degree, or professional certification in compliance or quality management is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in compliance, quality control, or regulatory affairs, preferably in the context of educational or cultural exchange programs.
  • Familiarity with J1 visa regulations and the specific requirements for secondary school, trainee, and internship programs is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in regulatory compliance and quality management tools and methodologies.
  • Experience in conducting audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure program compliance and quality.
  • Must be willing to travel to training events, conferences, and other job-related assignments. Travel consists of no more than 5 -10% for this position.
